Ground Yourself and Meditate
Have you been feeling "out of sorts" lately? Have you
started a project, and then suddenly you realize that hours
have past and you wonder where the time went. Maybe you are
having trouble focusing on what you are doing. How about
forgetting things or finding that decisions that always came
easily are now more difficult to make or you feel undecided.
Another one, is the word procrastination fitting anywhere
into your vocabulary?
If you have experienced any of the above, you are not alone.
I have been experiencing many of them too as have many other
people. Then for me, when my computer recently crashed, I
had a meltdown...I lost files, emails, email addresses, etc.
and suddenly stress became my middle name. Trying to relax
not only my mind but also my body wasn't very successful.
Then I started hearing the words ground yourself and
meditate. Then I was told, "Grounding yourself and
meditating will release the anxiety and stress you are
feeling". Grounding means connecting with Mother Earth and
the aura of love that she radiates. Meditating is connecting
ourselves with the harmony and tranquility that resides
inside each of us.
Listening to both of these messages, I went outside and sat
quietly on a bench in the yard. Breathing deeply, I planted
my feet firmly on the ground and envisioned small roots
growing from the soles of my feet and slowly penetrating the
earth, anchoring my feet just like the roots of the trees
and plants around me. I was becoming one with Mother Earth
feeling supported and embraced with love. Then I closed my
eyes and continuing to breathe deeply. I felt myself going
deeper into a relaxed state and connecting with the harmony
and tranquility within myself. I felt the warmth of the sun
on my face and body while I listened to the birds singing
their songs, listened to the gentle sound of the stream as
it pushed its way over the small rocks, listened to the
various wind chimes singing their own songs as the breeze
swayed them back and forth, and I embraced the fragrance of
the flowers that surrounded me. When I finally opened my
eyes, I felt refreshed and my energy was re-awaken. I was
able to focus clearly. It felt wonderful.
So if you need that extra help like I did, and continue to
do, ask the angels for help so that you too can ground
yourself and meditate. You will be glad you did.
Sending you love and many blessings,
Hetty
